Willie Reese Funeral Remarks 7-9-2024
My name is ALPHONSO Atkins I met Willie Reese because of the old sport of rabbit hunting which we both grew up with and loved. He worked the police department and I the fire department at the airport. Rabbit hunting was our common bond. And we look forward to doing it many times every winter. He was a hunt master and great dog trainer. He had a commanding voice in the woods and the dogs responded well to his commands. When he would tell the dogs to "Get on him when the rabbit trail was getting cold. His favorite lead Missy dogs responded well. We drove many a miles on Saturdays. Getting to and from various hunting grounds . from the break of day until nightfall, we would go. He loved his wife and daughter. He took good care of Sharon and daughter Alicia and made sure that they had everything that they needed. He made every one of his daughters basketball game and we would hear about them point by point as we drove to and from our hunting grounds.
Willie. Was a tremendous gardener and grew many things. He was a master muscadine grower, which was my favorite. I would sometimes go over and help him pick those muscadines, which were quite tasty. In closing ... I will just say
Willie Reese was a good and decent man. He made a difference as he traveled this road of life. He was , and always will be my friend.
