The Life
God, in His Infinite Wisdom, so willed for the earthly life of Ms. Minnie Frances Hight to begin as she was the third born to the late Mr. James High and Mrs. Corine Worthy High on April 25, 1954, in Barnesville, GA.
She sought her education in the Lamar County School System. She finished at Booker School with the Class of '74 and participated in band as a majorette. She was a member of West Mount Sinai Baptist Church. She served in the health ministry and she was an usher. She was a quiet soul, but she was the life of the party with her family. She loved her family, a nurturer to children, and especially adored her only son William Tyrone High. She was known as the protector of her family and didn’t hesitate to defend them. She took care of her family by way of working at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper. She also spent time with Carter Mills Inc. until it closed. She was last employed with American Woodmark as a cabinet assembler until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her sibling, Ms. Lillie R. Robinson, and on November 16, 2024, she entered eternity. While her transition saddened our hearts, she left us with her love and many memories to treasure in our hearts forever.
The Love
The love she had for her family will live on in the hearts of her beloved son, Mr. William Tyrone High of Barnesville; grandchildren, Tyaisha Slaton and Makiya Slaton both of Forsyth; a caretaker, Ms. Rachel Slaton of Forsyth; two sisters, Mrs. Loretha (Bryant) Ponder of Culloden and Mrs. Carolyn (Steve) Goddard (a brother-in-law who was more like a brother) of Milner. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends whom all will cherish her memory.
