Obituary For Ms. Diane Drake

Ms. Diane Drake passed on Friday, May 5, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. at Trice Funeral Home Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Trice Funeral Home Chapel. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Drake family in prayer. Ms. Diane Drake was born on August 15, 1951, to the late Mrs. Eddie Mae Williams Drake and the late Mr. John Henry Drake, Sr. in Thomaston, Upson County, Ga. She was educated in the Upson County School System & attended Drake High School. At an early age, she joined Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. As a young adult, she found employment at Upson County Hospital in the Dietary Department. She loved her job and enjoyed serving the patients always with a smile. She was a loving mother, sister, and aunt. During her leisure time, Diane loved going to church, reading her bible, watching spiritual movies, doing her own shopping at Piggly Wiggly, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harry Lee Drake, Jackie Drake and John Henry Drake, Jr.; four sisters, Emily Drake, Alma Drake, Ada Mae Martin, & Johnnie Mae Reviere. On Thursday, May 5, 2023, the Lord called Diane’s name. She answered the call, and her spirit took her flight and went home to rest. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Diane leaves to cherish her memory of two children, Mr. Kenneth Lamar (Rosalyn) Darden of Power Springs, GA. & Ms. Kasha Drake of Thomaston, Ga; one brother, Mr. Walter (Maria) Drake of Douglasville, Ga; a devoted niece, Ms. Trudy Raines of Thomaston, Ga; a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, cousins and other relatives, and friends.
