Mr. Frederick Walker passed on Monday, June 12, 2023.
Frederick "Shaq" Walker was raised in the church and served as a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord.
Frederick "Shaq" Walker attended school in both Lamar and Monroe Counties.
As his first coach, Frederick "Shaq" Walker's dad, Tango, instilled in him a love for sports. Shaq was an extraordinary athlete who enjoyed participating in various sports. However, he truly excelled and dominated on the football field.
As a player for the Lamar County High School Trojans, Frederick "Shaq" Walker gained notoriety for his athletic prowess as he proudly wore Jersey #79.
Shaq was heavily scouted and had offered to play for many Division I colleges and universities. He eventually accepted a full athletic scholarship to play for the Colorado State University Rams.
As passionate as Frederick "Shaq" Walker was about football, he was even more devoted to his family and friends. Even though he usually stood head and shoulders above most, his outgoing, well-mannered, and always willing to go the extra mile caused him to often be described as a "big teddy bear." Shaq is loved and will be missed by many.
