On Monday, December 30, 2024, our beloved LaTosma, slipped away from us in the early hours of the morning. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her. LaTosma was known for her warmth, generosity, and undeniably loving spirit that she brought into this world. She will be deeply missed. LaTosma was born April 7, 1977 to Roger and Gloria (Hugh) Dixson in Barnesville, GA. She was educated in the Lamar County school system. LaTosma was a true beacon of love. She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. She loved family cookouts, traveling, and going out to eat. Let’s not forget how much she loved Buggy Days, it was the ultimate gathering of family and friends. One of her greatest accomplishments was raising her 3 children. They were her pride and joy. They changed her life for the better and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Becoming a “Mee-mee” to her precious grandchildren added that extra twinkle in her eye. There is nothing more precious than the love she showered upon them. She took her role as big sister seriously and enjoyed a very close bond with her brother and sisters. She was not happy if she did not talk to them at least two times a day! LaTosma had a heart of gold. She opened her heart and her home to anyone in need. She never met a stranger. If she talked to you more than 5 minutes, you were instantly considered a friend. She loved children and was known to always have a house full of kids because all the kids loved to stay at “Pooh’s house”. Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her devoted children Breonica Dixson, Latravian Dixson and Aniyah Collier; her grandchildren Hailee, Haiden, Harlem, Lanie, D’Moni, Braxton, Oakland; her mother Gloria Dixson; loving siblings LaTerrance (LaTricia) Dixson, LaTravia Shropshire and Nevaeh Dixson; a god-mother Teresa Holloway; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Roger Dixson; grandparents Corry and Julia Mae Hugh, John and Ruth Dixson; along with many other loved ones throughout the years. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, LaTosma’s reach was as far as it was wide and she was cherished deeply by many. LaTosma’s loss is profoundly felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire love, compassion, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
