Johntavious Malik Collier was born on December 7, 1999 in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia, to the
parents of the late Mr. Grover Collier and Ms. Marcia Richardson. He was rededicated to Christ at three
months old, when he was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Jimmy Lyons.
Malik received his education in the Lamar County School System, where he was an outstanding football
player. He was also known for his smooth moves on the basketball court. After high school, he became
employed with the Atlanta Beverage Company in Griffin, GA.
Malik earned his wings on Friday, November 8, 2024, when he departed this earthly life and entered into
eternal rest with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents and his
maternal grandparents.
Memories of Malik will be cherished by his loving family to include his mother, Marcia Richardson
(Theodore); son, Kysen Isaiah Collier; father-in-love who raised him as a son, Larry Walker; fiancé and
her parents, Katelyn Michelle “KP” Potts and Julie and Sherry Johnson; brothers, Elgen Collier (Angela)
and Jasper Stroud; sister, Natasha Collier; aunts, Marjorie Richardson, Janie Fambro (Jimmy), Patsy
Walker, Charlene Richardson (Steve), and Minnie L. Fletcher; uncles, James “Skeet” Richardson
(Shawn), Michael Richardson, Charlie Frank Phillips (Carol), and Robert Lewis Collier; special cousins,
Alondrick Cole and K. J. Richardson; close friends, L. J. Smith and Shauntae King; a dear friend,
Jumiriya O’Neal; and a host of other cousins, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
