Doris Bentley, our beloved mother, departed this earth on January 22, 2020. Doris was born on September 27, 1949 in Thomaston, Georgia. She was the daughter of Mrs. Lucille Bentley and the late Charlie Bentley. Doris graduated from Central High School and was a member of Mt. Aery Baptist Church. Doris had a strong work ethic and believed in taking care of family and friends. She worked for Sikorsky Technologies where she retired from 28 years of service. Retirement didn’t slow her down; she continued on caring for people working for City Care Nursing Agency as a CAN where she took care of Ms. Mary Sullivan whom she affectionately called her “mom.” Doris was a feisty 70 years old who didn’t take no mess. Her friends gave her a nickname “Boss Lady” which was very fitting for her! Her grandchildren called her “Doe Doe.” Her favorite words were “You know I don’t play and “I ain’t playing with you!” We will miss this feisty little lady. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Calvin Williams; her three daughters, Cassandra Bentley, Monique Bentley and Thashia Bentley (Craig); her mother, Lucille Bentley; one brother, Charlie Bentley (Jeanella); three sisters, Marion Bentley, Evelyn Bentley, and Shelly Ann Sheffield; two god brothers, Johnny Devone (Belmira) and Lawerence Tilghman (Frances); 9 grandchildren: Raquel , Rameika, Tahj’ anna, Lavar, Gary, Raven, Christian, Cayden and Tremaine; 6 great grandchildren: Faith, Kylie, Jayce, Ricquan Jr., Jonah and Javar; two best friends, Beatrice McMullins and Diane Rogers; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Anna Hicks. Doris had countless others that were near and dear to her. Doris was predeceased by her father, Charlie Bentley; two brothers, Bennie F. Bentley and Michael Walker; one nephew, Wayne Bentley; two aunts, Frances Searcy and Julia Hicks; a grandmother Anna Warner; niece, Sakhya Bentley; and three extended sons, Raheem, Chaz and Gino Rogers.
