Obituary For Angela Carthon Bedell

Mrs. Angela Carthon Bedell was born in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia to the late Mrs. Geraldine Townsend and the late Mr. Johnny Lee Carthon on February 26, 1958.

Her early education was in the public school of Upson County and she grew up living in the Miller Park Community and Potato Creek Heights Community. She loved sports, sewing and cooking.

She was employed by Triump Packaging Thomaston until she retired. She was the mother of two, Antonio Sneed and Latoya Sneed. She was the grandmother of five, Amya, Keyonna, Allye, Niyah and Antonio Sneed, Jr. She loved her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed the peaceful life at her home. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her beautiful flowers.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers, William Carthon, Johnny Carthon and James (Miriam) Carthon; one sister, Eloise (Charles) Capers and one brother-in-law, Joe Louis Green. On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA, the Lord called her name, she answered and went home to be at rest. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted children, Mr. Antonio Sneed of Snellville, GA and Ms. Latoya Sneed of Thomaston, GA; five grandchildren, Keyonna Maines, Amya Sneed, Antonio Sneed, Jr., Allye Sneed and Niyah Sneed; one brother, Mr. Mitchell (Janice) Carthon of Albany, GA; sisters, Mrs. Annie Green of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Carrie Dixon of Savannah, GA, Mrs. Rita (Bill) Smith of Thomaston, GA, Ms. Paula Carthon, Ms. Paulette Carthon and Mrs. Irma Jones all of Savannah, GA; sister and brother-in-law include, Ms. Margaret Carthon and Mr. James Dixon both of Savannah, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
