Thelma Bernice Adams-Bryant, daughter of the late Mr. Roosevelt Adams and Lucille McInnis-Adams, was born in McCall, South Carolina. Ms. Bryant transitioned and went home to be with Jesus peacefully at home with her son on December 21, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings, Lucille Maske (NC), Dora Norman (VA), Roosevelt Adams (NC), Reverend James Adams (VA), Reverend Clitis Adams (PA/NC), Johnny Adams (NC), Lorenzo Adams (VA), Annie Adams (NC/VA), Mary Wansley (PA), Keller Adams (NC), and Charles Adams (NC), making her the last remaining child.
Thelma, “Hut” and/or “Lawyer” as her siblings would often call her, loved her family, but especially three of her seven brothers, Mr. Johnny J. Adams, Mr. Clites Adams, and Mr. Charles Adams, a wee bit more. She loved her four sisters as well and one sister-in-law a wee bit more, Mrs. Juanita Adams, as they were two peas in a pod. Hut loved her extended family too, but a few just a wee bit more: her nieces, Dr. Mae Adams of Fuquay-Varina, NC, niece, Ms. Gloria A. Mitchell of Lillington, NC, nephew, Mr. Jerry Adams of Lillington, NC, and niece, Mrs. Bette Jones of Fayetteville, NC. Left to cherish Ms. Bryant are her beloved son, Mr. Kevin Bryant of Upper Marlboro, MD, two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Helen Adams of Woodbridge, VA, and Mrs. Margreat Adams of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and a host of other “nieces and nephews.”
