Mrs Baldwin was one of my favorite teachers and principal I will always remember her telling me Christie hold on let somebody answer the math problem we know u know the answers lol. She taught me so much and from this day I still think bout the good times I had in her class. U will be missed

I was blessed to have Mrs. Baldwin as my fifth grade teacher at Coats school in 1970 and she was a special teacher that got my attention and encouraged me to not to settle but to do my best. Guess I was one of her favorite at the time. Family you will continue to be on our prayers and thanks for allowing her students to share in her season. God bless

Miss Baldwin was one of my favorite teachers. She was firm and kind at the same time. She said she was going to bring me out of my shell in 5th grade. I think she did, a little. I speak of her whenever I remember my Coats School days.

My absolute favorite teacher of all times. I became a math teacher at Campbell University because of this dear sweet lady... who by the way scared the life out of me when I took her class the very first day ❤️ I never knew how much love, support, and encouragement could come from a teacher ❤️ I wish that I could be half the teacher she was ❤️❤️❤️ I love you Ms. Baldwin!!!

Mrs. Baldwin was a seasoned teacher on the 6th grade hall at Coats-Erwin Middle School. I was a newly assigned teacher on the 7th grade hall. Even though we were on different halls and teaching different subjects, our common thread was the success of our students. She assisted me in many ways especially in dealing with her former students who were my current students.

May the God of peace give you strength as you reflect, reminisce, and rejoice over her life and ministry.

Ms. Baldwin was my 6th grade math teacher at Coats Middle. She was truly larger than life and I still talk about her to this day. She had such an amazing impact on all of her students.

Ms. Baldwin was a wonderful and great woman. I had the honor of working alongside with her at Coats Erwin Middle School for many years. Our children adored her and we as well. It saddens my heart to hear of her passing. The last time I saw her was at my cousin Tommy funeral. She has always looked the same and she always key the same personality. I pray that God will give her family strength and understanding during this difficult time. She will be missed but never forgotten. I remember one day my daughter got in trouble at school and Ms. Baldwin called me to the school. She said now Star Bailey you can't spank her with that coat hanger I said then you need to step outside. lol she was serious and after that spanking there were no more calls. I loved working with her as her bus driver and she was the best leader that we all had. R. I. P beautiful angel!

Miss Baldwin was one of my favorite teachers. She was a tough one, but very fair. She could swing that paddle like a Major League Baseball player 😊 I learned so much in her class. I remember seeing Hank Aaron break the home run record while in her class. I thought that was so cool!

I had the privilege of working with her brother, David. He was also a great person. My condolences to all her family and friends. I hope she realizes how important she was to so many people over the years. ❤️

Ms. Baldwin gave me the opportunity to be one of her bus drivers for CEMS. She was very stern but loving. Ms. Baldwin was kind to all the students, staff and especially her bus drivers. She went over and beyond to make sure all her bus drivers had what they needed to have a daily bus route. She also made sure we had snacks to help us through out the day. Ms. Baldwin was my favorite teacher, she profoundly impacted me, leaving an indelible mark on my life that will stay with me. To the Baldwin family, we were saddened to hear that Irene left us but it's also good to know that she is no longer dealing with the pains of this world. She is now singing in the Heavenly choir along side of her mother, Mother Mazzie and has joined her other siblings and her earthly father Mr Cle Baldwin. Most of all she is now in the presence of the Lord our Savior.She will be missed her but we know that she is in a good place now.. There are so many wonderful memories I have of Sister Baldwin. She was a great leader and a beloved friend. She was an active participant in the success of my wedding. She hand wrote all of the addresses on the invitations envelopes. A friend indeed whom you could count on in the time of need. May she rest in peace and all of Sis. Baldwin's family be comforted.

The family of Elijah Williams and Margie Spence Williams offer condolences to the Baldwin and Spences. We are second cousins to Irene Baldwin. Our families visited often as we grew up. We played often under our grandfather's China Berry tree. We sang songs like "London Bridge is Falling Down", and "Ring Around the Roses". We held mock spelling contests. And, we honed our skills on the Alphabets before we started first grade. Catherine even taught in the same school with Irene.
