David Lee Utley

February 14th, 2023. I am a friend of David's from when he lived in Minneapolis David figures in my most delightful memories. We used to play poker on Friday or Saturday nights, at least a couple times a month.One night the pot was high, (for us). I knew I was going to win, I had 3 kings and two tens. I put in all my money,knowing I would be victorious. David, grinning all the while,Laid out his 3 aces and 2 queens! We laughed endlessly! David was my dear friend and an angel and guardian for my kids when they lost their father. He made them put away their shoes and brush their teeth and made me coffee with cinnamon every morning. We are shedding a tear and hoping he can hear this message and feel the love we have always held for him in our hearts. Miss you, Judy-girl, Gertie (Steph) and Gremlin (Johnny) Wrahlstad.

My family and I are so sad to hear of David's passing. He was like family he lived with us for a few years and helped my mom take care of my brother and I when we kids. My favorite memory with David was always Halloween, and the claw. Love Gerdy

David and I were good friends when we attended high school together. We played together and I would walk from Conover St in Fuquay to the railroad tracks to Varina. When I moved from Fuquay in 1967 to Raleigh we lost direct contact with one another. I will always remember him as a nice and fun person to be around. RIP my friend.

Attending High School with David, I knew him to be charming, intelligent and a fun loving individual. To the Utley family I pray that God surround you with his love and peace at this trying time.
