Obituary For Stephanie Loran Fleming

A celebration of life for Ms. Stephanie Loran Fleming, 53, will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. Interment will be in Union Springs Church Cemetery. Ms. Fleming will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Ms. Stephanie Loran Fleming began life’s journey on Saturday, December 18, 1965 in Talladega, Alabama to the union of Charles Edward Fleming and Betty Jean Storey Fleming.

At an early age, Stephanie gave her life to Christ and united with Mt. Canaan Baptist Church where she served as an usher and Red Circle Girl. She was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Talladega High School. Stephanie continued her education at Alabama State University and Talladega College. She once served as a member of the Talladega Democratic Conference. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoyed shopping, barbecuing, crocheting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

On the morning of Thursday, December 12, 2019, Stephanie began her eternal journey at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. She was preceded in passing by her longtime companion, John Wayne Swain; grandparents, Gussie and J. C. Storey and Matthew and Bessie Lee; two uncles, Henry Storey and Michael Storey; and one aunt, Carolyn Bradley.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her memories: her parents, Betty J. Fleming and Charles E. (Carlean) Fleming of Talladega, Alabama; two daughters, Shacoby (Brandon) Estelle of Lincoln, Alabama and Salicia Swain of Talladega, Alabama; four sons, Charltavious (Sharonica Garrett) Fleming, Johnathon Fleming and Michael Fleming of Talladega, Alabama and Reginald Bradley of Gainesville, Florida; ten grandchildren, Brandon Estelle, Jr., Montavious Hawkins, Krimson Fleming, Kennedi Fleming, Khristian Fleming, Ivan Crowe, Mia Swain, Kensley Fleming, Seinna Swain and Shaundarous Calhoun; one sister, Carol (Anthony) Hughes of Fort Worth, Texas; one uncle, James (Felicia) Storey of Talladega, Alabama; one aunt, Mary (Jimmy) Jones of Jonesboro, Georgia; one niece, Antionese Hughes of Fort Worth, Texas; one nephew, Octavious Hughes of Anniston, Alabama; seven special cousins, Edna McDuffey of Orlando, Florida, Olivia Harris of Oxford, Alabama, Tamara Jones and Jimmy Jones, III of Jonesboro, Georgia, Larry Storey of Harpersville, Alabama, Juanita McClellan and Linda White of Talladega, Alabama; a special father figure, James Lee of Weaver, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.
