Frank Lee Montgomery, the son of the late Oscar Montgomery and the late Annie Brown, was born on June 2, 1935, in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Frank was educated in the schools of Greensboro. He went on to establish Frank’s Cleaning Service where he worked tirelessly until retirement. On December 18, 1988, Frank took the hand of the former Merzialene Nix in marriage. After spending many years living in New York and North Carolina, Frank moved to Alabama settling in the Alpine community after the passing of his wife in 2013 and found comfort in fellowship with Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Talladega. When he was not working and during his days of relaxation after retirement, Bro. Montgomery enjoyed fishing, golfing and gardening.
Beautiful memories of Bro. Montgomery will remain in the hearts of his daughters, Sandra (Norwood) White of Deer Park, New York, Pamlynn (Michael) Montgomery of Alpine, Alabama, Shakena (Troy) Varnado of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Sharon (Ronald) Twymon of Talladega, Alabama; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Carter of Norwalk, Connecticut; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

To Pam and the rest of the Montgomery family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I meet Mr Frank 10 years ago working in his garden. I remember the first thing he said to me, you must be a country girl if you know those are greens and not collards. Our bond grew over the years. I loved our weekly talks. I am truly going to miss you my friend. I love you Mr. Frank.
