Obituary For Angelia D. Kendrick Smoot

Graveside services for Mrs. Angelia D. Kendrick Smoot of Talladega, 56, will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Smith Chapel UMC Cemetery. Dr. Henry McGhee will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the funeral home.

Angelia D. Kendrick Smoot was born to the late Benny and Annie Lee Kendrick on May 8, 1964 in Talladega County, Alabama.

Mrs. Smoot joined Smith Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age. She received her education in the Munford area schools.

Angelia answered the Master’s call on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Artie Smoot; one nephew, Wendell Kendrick; one great nephew, Mikal Kendrick; and her grandparents, Lee and Lucille Johnson and Willie and Addie B. Adamson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Carolyn Truss and Jacquelyn (William) Twymon of Talladega, Alabama; two brothers, Timothy Kendrick, Sr. (Deborah) of Talladega, Alabama and Clifton (Kimberly) Kendrick, Sr. of O’Fallon, Illinois; three nephews, Michael Kendrick and Timothy Kendrick, Jr. of Talladega, Alabama and Clifton Kendrick, Jr. of O’Fallon, Illinois; two nieces, LeKeatra Truss of Talladega, Alabama and Ashleigh Kendrick of O’Fallon, Illinois; Godmother, Avetta Delois Tucker of Anniston, Alabama; a special niece, Willie Ann (Haywood) Jackson; two special friends, Tanya Gilley and Winston Holland; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
