Mother Vera Zella Williams was born on July 13, 1925 to the late Earline Copeland. At her home on August 20, 2019 surrounded by family she entered into the HEAVENLY KINGDOM. Mother Vera joined Bethel C.M.E. Church at an early age and was a faithful member until her death. She was a member of Motherboard at her church, a member of The Status of Women from 1996-2009, a graduate member of The Beta Omega Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in Albany, GA, and she was also a member of the North Miami Beach Voters Committee.
Mother Williams loved her family, good food, cooking, flowers, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She enjoyed reading her bible and loved watching The Steve Harvey Show, Family Feud, and The Andy Griffith Show. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her children: James E.L. Copeland, Earline Hairston, Albert Pearson and Melissa William; six siblings: Nellie P. Bridges, Rosie M. Diggs, Carrie Harris, Vorn C. Bridges, William Bridges and Thomas Bridges.
Her memories will be celebrated by two granddaughters: Connie Stalett and Tatianna Jackson-Edwards; one grandson: Tyri Pearson; one bonus daughter: Betty (Kenny) Stanley; five sisters: Fannie Mason, Coreen Walker, Maddie Dozier, Emma Harvey, Martha (Charlie) Fannie; six brothers: James(Shirley) Copeland, Rev. Clarence Copeland, Johnnie B. Bridges, Lester Bridges, George (Margie) Bridges, Nathan Bridges and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
