Mr. George Goodwin Sr. is survived by a daughter, Trisha Goodwin Washington (Marvin) of White Plains, Maryland, three sons ~ John Darryl Goodwin (Karen), Floyd Goodwin and Gerald Appleberry, Sr. (Sherryl); all of Chattanooga, TN. Two Brothers ~ Welbon Goodwin (Geraldine), College Park, GA and Floyd Goodwin, Jr., Austell, GA. Two Sisters, Mariah Barnes (Marvin), Washington, DC and Alma “Betty” Walker, Cataula, GA. Twelve Grandchildren ~ Patrick, Derek (Keyana), Lauren, Kailyn, Candyce (Torran), Brandon, Jasmine, Jade, PJ, David, Malika and Gerald Jr. seven great grandchildren, Ayana, Zariah, London, Cali, Kevin, Kevion and Derek, Jr. Several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Friday, February 10, 2023, 1 pm Long Street Baptist Church 3079 GA Highway 208 Cataula, Georgia 31804

Interment: Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery Ft. Mitchell, AL

I had the great honor to provide administrative support to George while working at Manning Selvage and Lee-Atlanta in 1991. I have thought of him many times over the years, including today of which I ran across the somber news of his passing in February. What a wonderful and kind man he was to work with.
