Charlie "Moot" Curtis Wilson
On October 9, 1943, Charlie Curtis (Moot) Wilson was born to the late Arthur Willis Wilson and Gladys Wilson Lyles (Amos). Charlie expired this life on January 20, 2019 at Warm Springs Hospital in Warm Spring Georgia.
He joined the Bethany Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Tom Davidson. Charlie married Irene and to this union two daughters was born, Violet and Lisa that are deceased. He later married Pinky Favors also deceased.
Charlie (Moot) was a dedicated employee of Yarbrough Pulpwood Company for many years. He decided to retire and move to Columbus to enjoy his hobbies; fishing, watching football and entertaining family and friends while sitting outside on his porch.
With loving memories he leaves to cherish, his daughter : Priscilla A. (David) Ewing of LaGrange, Georgia, three granddaughters: Keyong and Meown Wilson of Columbus, Georgia and April Ewing of LaGrange, GA; two grandsons: Travis and Justin Ewing both of LaGrange, Georgia. He raised five step-children all of LaGrange, Georgia and five great grandchildren: Courvoisia Wilson of Columbus, Georgia, Nyquasia Ford of Columbus, Georgia, 1st Sergeant Keyvarious Wilson of Fort Irwin, California; Lamarcus Wilson and Ayriahanna Banks both of Columbus, Georgia; eleven great grandchildren; one sister: Sallie Bailey; four brothers: Joseph (Cherly) Lyles of Jacksonville, Florida, James Lyles of Columbus, Georgia, Calvin (Cookie) Lyles of Buena Vista, Georgia and Willard Lyles of Chicago, IL; one aunt: Essie Alexander of Pine Mountain, Georgia; one uncle: George (Louise) Bryant of Savannah , Georgia; one sister-in-law: Mary Ann Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; a dedicated friend: Robert Branscomb and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
