Pat Hamilton Patterson Nashville, TN 64 of Nashville, TN made her transition peacefully to be with The Lord Jesus on Feb. 1, 2016. Pat was born in Detroit, MI on July 5, 1951 to Herbert and Arcola Hamilton. She was reared in South Fulton, TN. Pat graduated from South Fulton High School and Western Kentucky University of Bowling Green, KY. Pat was employed and retired from Bell South after 31 years. After retiring she reinvented her commitment toward public service to do the work of The Lord in many arenas . Pat became prepared and qualified in healthcare for the elderly, prisoners and others as a Certified Nurse Tech. As a life long learner, Pat completed training as a court reporter and Notary. Pat also learned to upholster furniture, was an excellent seamstress and played softball up to the age of 50+. Pat initiated the Red Hatters 'Vibrant in Red Chapter' and was named 'The Queen Bee' until her passing. Pat loved coordinating tour trips for her beloved Red Hatters (and other guests) from Nashville. If that wasn't enough, Pat was the Girl Scout Brownie Leader for Metropolitan Interdenominational Church Girl Scouts, an usher and a faithful member of the Metropolitan Church. With all of Pat's involvements, she still was in high demand as a sub teacher for Metro Public Schools and was receiving calls daily, even up to the time of death. Pat touched thousands of lives by teaching line dancing in Nashville & Bowling Green, living by the golden rule and changing lives as The Lord guided her. There was nothing Pat didn't do, where there was a desire to help others, such as planting beautiful flowers, cutting her grass by tractor and often cutting her neighbor's yards as well. Pat is survived by two daughters, Arcola (Michael) Scruggs, Jerrita Patterson, two brothers, Michael (Ada) Hamilton, Herbert (Harriett) Hamilton and sister Juanita (Charles) Matthews, Granddaughter Brooklyn Scruggs and an aunt, nephews, cousins and thousands of friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pat H. Patterson Book Scholarship Fund, mailed to Arcola Patterson, 633 Cato Ridge Lane, Nashville 37218. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, 4-8pm at Metropolitan Interdenominational Church, 2128 11th Ave N., Nashville, Family Present 6-8pm. Funeral Saturday Visitation 11am-12pm @ Temple Baptist, 3810 Kings Lane, Homecoming CELEBRATION @ noon. Terrell Broady Funeral Home, 615-244-4755

Our hearts are heavy now. This Christian woman - beautiful inside and out, the embodiment of joy. The world is less lovely now because she's not here. Our prayer is that her family will find some comfort from the many kind words we all will share about our sister Pat.
To the entire Family of my Best and Dearest Friend, Pat, my sincere condolences. I loved Pat like a Sister and Love the whole family. Farewell my Friend, Rest In Heaven Woman of God.
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going. John 14: 1-4 Darrel and Lonna Traynor
