Mrs. Willie Mae "Grip" Abercrombie, 75, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Edmonds Cemetery, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Preston Woods, officiating.
Mrs. Willie Mae Abercrombie, affectionately known by many as “Grip”, life’s journey began in Phenix City, Alabama on February 12, 1947.
She was preceded in death by: one of her daughters, Brenda Clark; a brother, Rozel Mosley; and a sister, Dianne Mosley King.
Willie Mae, Grip was a loving and caring mother, sister, auntie and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Vernester Faye Abercrombie of Phenix City, Alabama; three brothers, Ronnie Mosley and Willie Mosley, both of Phenix City, Alabama and Curtis Mosley of New York City, New York; four sisters, Ilean King, Cynthia Mosley, and Tammie Mosley, all of Phenix City, Alabama and Katie Carnes of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; a devoted and loving son-in-law, Lindsey Clark; an uncle, Rozel Woods of Columbus, Georgia; an aunt, Annie Mae Woods of Phenix City, Alabama; five grandchildren, Michael Alexander, Deroderick Alexander, Karen Abercrombie, LaTasha Allen, and Kimberly Abercrombie; thirteen great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
