Veronica Canada, 58, passed in Birmingham, AL on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
Funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. EST (11:30 a.m. CST), Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Hurtsboro (Battle Community), AL with Rev. Ike Richardson, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Monday, January 1, 2023 from 12 - 5 p.m. EST.
Mrs. Veronica Renee Canada, affectionately known as βVeronica Joyβ or as βNeeβ by family was born September 26, 1965 in Queens, New York to the late Robert J Bowman and Mary Beverly Bowman. Veronica was a 9-1-1 operator at the Eufaula Police Department for 15 years and furthered her career at the New York City Police Department, where she retired in 2015.
Mrs. Canada leaves to cherish precious memories with her mother, Mary Bowman, two daughters, Kayla Canada and Amber (Keldon); and son, Jamal Canada; two granddaughters, Makenzie and Tia Rose Watts; sister, Teri Bowman; nieces, Sharday, Shaterra, and Zhuri and a host of other relatives and friends.
