Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST at St. John A.M.E Church Cemetery Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Thomas James Abron, III, son of the late Carrie Louise Evans Collins and the late Thomas Lee Abron was born December 16, 1949 in Phenix City, Alabama. Tommy, 71, departed this life at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home and entered eternal rest on November 4, 2021.
Tommy was a baptized believer and became a member of the Saint John A.M.E. church in Fort Mitchell, AL in 1999. Later, Tommy joined North Highland Church in Columbus, GA in 2015. In 1969, Tommy graduated from South Girard High School in Phenix City, AL. He married the late Cacelia Horn in 1971 and worked as a custodian for the Muscogee County School District until he retired.
Tommy was a sweet, fun-loving, kind, gentle-hearted person who loved life, family, and friends. He was no stranger to anyone he met. He enjoyed watching TV shows, especially westerns and soap operas like The Bold and the Beautiful. Most of all, he loved sports. Alabama Crimson Tide was his favorite team. Tommy and his sister, Clementine, were ride or die, “Bonnie and Clyde” partners. As he loved to say, Clementine was his ACE Boon Coon! He loved her dearly and she loved him.
Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Cacelia Horn Abron, both of his parents, Thomas Lee Abron and Carrie Louise Evans Collins, and his son JerDonald Bush.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved sister, Clementine Elaine Abron Johnson (Ralph) of Columbus, GA; loving step-mother, Fannie Ruth Abron of Dorchester, MA; sister, Jacqueline Abron; two brothers, Kelvin Abron (Kim) and Wayne Abron of Dorchester, MA; three aunts, Catherine Wiley and Ella Abron of Columbus, GA and Martha Hollis (John) of Phenix City, AL.; two nephews, Alonzo Revelle Rivers, III (Chan Ta) of Dacula, GA and Thomas Lee Ryan Abron (Asia) of Dorchester, MA; sisters-in-law, Barcina Gibbons (Willie) Valesser Hodo (Wesley), McQuetta Carter (George); brothers-in-law, Tonya Horne (Kay) and Shannon Horne; four nieces, Danitra Abron, Cori Beth Daddabbo, Tyler Jarrae Abron, Cyan Rose Abron of Dorchester, MA; two great-nieces, Winter Tibet and Apony Tibet; two great nephews, Brandon Revelle Rivers and Bryce Alon Rivers of Dacula, GA. He was loved and will be remembered by a host of family and friends, and staff members of Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Clementine, please accept my heartfelt condolences. My prayer is that the Lord will give you the strength and courage you need during this time. Take one day at a time. Sometimes it may be one second or one minute. Reach up and say Jesus I need you right now. He will be there to hold lead and guide you. Love you and God bless you. Brenda Thomas Porter
