Ms. Tammie McDuffie, 63, of Phenix City, AL, passed Thursday, December 28, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 15th Place, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Charlie L. Sanders, Jr., officiating. Public viewing will take place at the church on the day of service.
Mrs. Tammie Melvin McDuffie was born on May 23, 1960 in McRae, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Robert L. McDuffie, her parents Mr. James Willie Melvin, Sr. & Mrs. Bessie Mae Woodard Melvin, her sisters Mrs. Irma Jean Johnson, Mrs. Dorothy Hamilton, bothers Master Sargent Jimmie L. Woodard & Mr. Joseph Melvin.
She’s a graduate of the mighty bulldogs of Lyons Senior High School. At a young age she attended Church of God in Christ (New Hope Church of God in Christ) Lyons, GA. Mrs. McDuffie loved lifting up the name of our Lord & Savior through praise & service in the community & church. She attended Greater Harvest, Worldwide Gospel Ministry, Word of Life & Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She remained an active servant of the Lord until her illness.
Mrs. McDuffie worked various jobs throughout her lifetime. She retired after over 20 years of dedicate service as a Shift Manager for Wendy’s.
Mrs. McDuffie is survived by her supportive children Tyronza, Andrew (Angela), Sharonda, Antonio, Malcolm, Raymondo, & Dymonte, 11 grandchildren, brothers Elder Lawrence (Almetta) Lemon, Jr. of Brunswick, GA, James Willie (Mary) Melvin, Jr., of Millen, GA, sister Alberta (Christin) Ray of Phenix City, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
