Obituary For Shenita B. Wilson

Mrs. Shenita B. Wilson, 57, of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, March 16, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, March 24, 2023 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, Salem, AL with Rev. Marshall Morgan, pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Ms. Shenita “Nita” B. Wilson was born September 6, 1965 in Phenix City, AL to the late Sidney Brooks, Sr., and Ever Eunice Smith Brooks.

She transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Murphy, Annie “Pearlie” Bowser, Beverly “Bett” Brooks, Betty Jo Watkins, and one brother; Willie “Pig” Coleman.  

She leaves to cherish her memories her life’s love, Michael Lamar Johnson; a dedicated daughter, Eunice Chiquita Renea Wilson, one loving son, Michael Michale Antwan Wilson all of Phenix City, AL; patiently awaiting the arrival of her first beloved granddaughter, Armoni Johnson, Lagrange, GA; five daughters by heart; Kiera Alexandra of Portland, Jaquetta Johnson, Kieandra Johnson, Tiffany Johnson, and Tron Johnson all of Phenix City, AL; one sister Mary Jane Phillips of Phenix City, AL; three brothers; R. Pete Brooks of Gary, Indiana, Sydney Brooks, Jr. of Phenix City, AL and Walter Lee Brooks of Ft. Mitchell, AL; one aunt; Beratha Thomas, Smiths Station, AL; four sisters-in-law, Georgia Bigelow and Patricia (Carl) Johnson both of Phenix City, AL, Katie Comer of Auburn, GA and Charlene Reid Coleman of Columbus, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
