Obituary For Rose Peterson
Rose Peterson, 90, passed on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Mt. Missouri Baptist Church located at 973 Rutherford Rd, Hurtsboro, AL. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing is 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Roseanna Daniels Peterson was born on January 26, 1935, to the late Henrietta and Warren Daniels. She accepted Christ at the age of 12 and remained a devoted member of Mt. Missouri Church throughout her life.
In 1955, she married her beloved husband, the late Frank Lee Peterson, Sr., and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and family. Mrs. Peterson dedicated her life to The Order of the Eastern Star (True Hope Chapter), Mt. Missouri Baptist Church, the Battle Community, and her loving family. She was known for her strength, wisdom, and the kindness she shared with everyone she met.
On March 4, 2025, she peacefully departed this life at Parkwood Nursing Home in Phenix City, Alabama, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lee Peterson, Sr., her mother, Henrietta Nelson Daniels, and her father, Warren Daniels; two brothers, Tommy Lee Daniels and Otis Nelson, Sr.; her sisters, Mary Queen Brooks, Willie Bell Brooks, and Susie White, and her son-in-law, Calvin D. Hugley.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She leaves behind cherished memories with her family, sister, Leola Daniels of Ft. Myers, FL; sister in law, Minnie Lee Nelson, Rutherford, AL; daughters, Delores Peterson of Eufaula, AL, Maryann McCory of Columbus, GA, Tanji Peterson-Hugley of Phenix City, AL, Carrie Peterson (Louis) Davis of Hatchechubbee, AL, Kathleen Peterson (Morris) Dorsey of Phenix City, AL; sons, Frank Peterson, Jr. of Phenix City, AL, Barion Kirk Peterson of Cusseta, AL; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.
