Rev. Larry Joe Winn, Sr. the son of the late Mattie Alexander Smith was born January 22, 1953. He was the oldest of the four children. Larry's passion in his teen years were basketball and singing. Larry had a desire to work to help his mother pay bills after witnessing her struggle trying to make ends meet. Larry started working at a candy plant called Tom's Food at the age of 14, in 1967 to help his mother pay bills. He retired in 2012 from the candy company after 45 years.
Later in the 70's Larry met his first love and they together in 1973 had their first and only son, Larry Jerome Winn, Jr.
He always found himself surrounded with a house full of preachers, singers and musicians. He demonstrated a strong faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. In the 80's, he joined Franchise Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Raymond Cochran, Sr. He then became a faithful member of the church, followed by becoming president of the choir and on to becoming a minister spreading the Gospel of God.
Larry was a man who loved the church and would do anything to help anybody. Many came from afar just to hear him sing and many came for guidance and wisdom. He was a true example of faithfulness.
Larry leaves behind his beautiful seeds, his son, Larry Jerome Winn, Jr.; daughter-in-law, April Winn; grandchildren, Sharon Davis Winn, Destiny Byse, Moriah Winn and Javonte Winn leaving a legacy of greatness to be carried on.

Psalm 133:1 – How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! Pastor Larry Winn, was a worshipper for the Lord, he used his gift received from God to share with others; and always tried to bond family together. Larry exemplified Psalm 133:1; it's now up to the remaining family members to all do their part stop the division, forgive one another, stop judging and pull together. Word of the Lord........
