Obituary For Mildred Louise Warren

Mildred Warren, 88, passed on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Friday, July 26, 2024 at Body of Christ Christian Center, 1500 13th Avenue, Columbus, GA with Overseer Gerald Wyatt, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 12-5 p.m. EST

Mildred Louise Warren was born on September 16, 1935, to parents Violet and Ralph Jarrett. She was the second of four siblings: Myrtle (Japanese) Jordan, Federico Jarrett( Miriam), and Diva Moses(Arselio). Mildred confessed Christ and was baptized as a young child in Panama City, Panama, where she was born and q raised, At the age of 26, Mildred migrated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York, There, she married the love of her life, Robert Warren (deceased), and had two children, Denise Vanclife (deceased) and Desiree Smith. They were married for 37 years until his passing on July 31, 1997.

Mildred worked as a CNA and private duty nurse, providing care and aid to those in need. She continued this nurturing and caregiving work until her retirement at the age of 65.

Mildred was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone around her. Those who knew Mildred have memorable stories to tell, as she lived her life to the fullest. She loved traveling, creating arts and crafts, sewing, shopping, and making meals for anyone she thought might be hungry.

Family was the most important thing to Mildred. She prioritized making memories with her beloved friends and family, often flying thousands of miles to see cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She always maintained a positive outlook on life and cherished every moment she had in this world.

Mildred leaves behind her daughter, Desiree Smith; granddaughter, Pursia Jackson (Timothy); grandson, Montrel Crawford; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Caiden, Chloe, and Carter; and a host of nieces, cousins, church family, and friends.
