Mary Alexander, 77, passed Friday, November 22, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, November 30, 2024 at New Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeffrey Dancey, Sr. pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery Number Two, Phenix City, AL. Visitation will be 2 - 5 p.m. EST, Friday, November 29, 2024.
Ms. Mary Ellen Lowman-Alexander, born on July 22, 1947, in Phenix City, Alabama, transitioned from this life on November 22, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Charles Thomas Lowman Sr. and the late Georgia Mae (Jones) Lowman.
Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of the New Central Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama. She graduated from South Girard High School, Phenix City, Alabama in 1965. She was employed by Kidz -N- Co as a childcare worker until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers, George, Charles Jr., James, Willie, Tommy, Joseph and her daughter, Latarsha Alexander. Despite these losses, she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Erica L. Alexander; two cherished grandchildren, Alexander Blake Jackson and D'Mya Monet Alexander, both of St. Louis, Missouri; as well as a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family members who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Her loving spirit, kind heart, and devotion to her family and faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary Alexander was one of the best people I have ever known! I have great memories of her!! She was sweet funny and a great friend! We loved going and buying our footlong hotdogs when the fair was in town!! Mary I love you and you will be missed!!
