Mr. Leon Davis McCoy, 62, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, January 21, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am EST, Saturday, February, 3, 2024 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie L Sanders, officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be no public viewing.
Mr. Leon Davis McCoy was born July 24, 1961 in Phenix City, AL to Margaret Ann Davis and the late Leon Davis, Sr.
Mr. McCoy was educated in the Phenix City Public School system where it began at Susie E. Allen and ended at Central High School. He was employed with several companies; Phenix City Board of Education, Ft. Benning, Glance Painting and he was also a very good handyman. He was also an awesome caregiver for his mother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Davis, Sr.; grandfather, Marion McCoy; grandmother, Mary L. McCoy; uncle, Ralph McCoy and an aunt, Pebbles McCoy
Mr. Leon Davis McCoy memories will be kept alive by those close to him: his mother, Margaret Ann Davis; sister, Felicia Davis; nephew, Daryl Rene Byrd Davis; brothers/cousins, Robert Allen Glance; Vincent Bell and Stantaruro Patterson; uncles, Marion McCoy, Jr. (Nettie) and Jeffery McCoy (Ola); aunts, Arnita Bell (James, deceased), Vanessa Curtis (Reginald), Phyllis McCoy, Mary Lois McCoy and Nickelchia McCoy White (Ricky) and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Leon(Mane)Davis McCoy was more than a cousin to my husband Allen,kids and myself. He was brother to Allen and Betty Jean and a Uncle to Teresas(Tee) and Rachel, and a grand Uncle for Taylor Richards. That how much We love him. He was always there to help you when we need him. He use to make our party soo much funny with his favorite song (ANGELA) it a ninty song and (mylast two dollars) by Johnnie Taylor.
