Larry Henderson, 68, passed on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Battle, officiating. Public viewing is 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. EST on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Larry Henderson was born on September 16, 1956, in Columbus, GA. to the late Rochelle and Ella Mae Henderson.
He departed his life on March 4, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Larry Henderson graduated from Saginaw High School located in Saginaw, MI. with the class of 1974. After graduating, he joined the Army then shortly returned home to Columbus, GA where he lived his remaining days until his death. Larry was a lover of music because he enjoyed dancing so much. He also loved to walk miles. Everyone knew him by “Walking Larry" because he was recognized by so many in the community. He gave his life to Christ at an early age. Mr. Henderson was also known for encouraging people with God's word which he loved so much.
Larry Henderson was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Mary Rutledge, Geneva Williams, Willie Brown, and Jerry Henderson. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters, Susie Henderson, of Columbus, GA, Edith Bass of Atlanta, GA, and Geraldine (Maurice) Southern of Saginaw, MI; three brothers, Rochelle Hinton of New Jersey, Ray Henderson of Saginaw MI, and Rochelle Henderson of Warner Robinson, GA; three aunts, Aberta Walton of Phenix City, AL, Annie Blanding of Pittsview AL, and Jessie Williams of Perry, FL. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that knew and loved him. His wonderful spirit will be truly missed by us all.
