Ms. Kecia Rose, 57, of Smiths Station, AL passed Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Smiths Station, AL.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. EST (2:00 p.m. CST) Monday, November 6, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Harrison Ford, officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Columbus, GA. Visitation is Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Kecia N. Rose was born to the late Jenel Rose and Willie Rose Sr. on March 6, 1965 in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended Muscogee County Schools and accepted Christ at a young age.
Kecia was a dedicated and hardworking employee with Rolling Hills Food Services for 8 yrs and Valley Hospitality Services (Marriott) for over 15 yrs.
Kecia loved to watch and attend sporting events and she was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Kecia was preceded in death by her aunt Lorie Washington.
Kecia’s final chapter of her life ended on October 29, 2023. Her memory will forever linger in our hearts and thoughts of her loved ones and friends. Her joy, love, kindness, goodness, gentleness and patience allowed her to captivate, correct, and motivate her children and her family.
Kecia leaves to cherish her memories two children, Jermaine Rose and Derrick Rose; four sisters, Wanda (Michael) Reid, Michelle (Romel) Edwards, Marla (Robert) Walker and Carla (David) Rose-Allen; one uncle, John (Christine) Robinson; one aunt, Devon Swedenburg; three nephews, Christopher Reid, J’Lynn Martin, and Christian Rose-Allen; two very special friends and colleagues, Sharon Coney and Jasmine Smith; a lifelong confidant, Zina Carpenter, and a host of relatives and dear friends.
My deepest condolences to the Rose family. I just learned of Kecias passing. We went to Elementary school together She was very funny and kind.RIParadise my friend.
