Obituary For Juanita Louise Moffett

Mrs. Juanita Louise Moffett, 70, of Columbus, GA passed Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11- 3 p.m. EST

Juanita Louise Moffett was born August 3,1952 in Harlem Hospital in Manhattan, NY to the proud parents of Mildred Louise Davis and Willie “Rat” McCray.

Juanita graduated from Jane Addams Vocational High School in the Bronx, NY in 1970. Right after graduating she went to work at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company Bank in Manhattan, NY. She moved to Columbus, GA in 1977 where she continued to work and retired in 2012 from SunTrust Bank.

Juanita was well known for her cooking skills as if she was born and raised in the south. Everyone loved her cooking. When it came to dancing, she loved to dance. She was also known for going to the food banks and when she got home, she would get on the phone and call family and friends to come over to her house and help themselves to whatever she had on her table to feed themselves.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Louise Mildred Huston; two aunts, Dorothy Elizabeth Griffin and Shirley Mae Willis; uncle, Clarence “Sonny” Huston; sister, Marilyn Elizabeth Brinson; two brothers, Willie Joe “Buck” Davis and Tyrone Anthony “Ski Wee” Davis (wife Gina Davis); mother-in-law, Elvira Brundidge; father-in-law, Ernest David Moffett and brother-in-law, Alfred “Shon” Moffett.

Juanita leaves to mourn her loving husband, Charlie “Frank” Moffett, mother, Mildred Louise Davis; daughter, Tonya Louise “RoadRunna” Sheppard-Crawford; granddaughter, Tondeya Camary Martinez; stepson, Savalas “Sport” Truitt; two brothers, Nathan Edward “Nate Skate” (Gina Davis) and Kevin Lee “Monkey Kev” Davis; very special cousin who was like a brother, Kenneth “Monkey” Moody; stepfather-in-law, Climmie Brundidge; three brothers-in-law, Curtis James Moffett, Johnny Lee “Keta” Moffett and Michael David Moffett (Delcyne Persley); sister-in-law, Jacqueline Knox (Glenn) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Juanita will be loved and greatly missed by all.
