Jeannell Hood, 76, passed on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Words of Wisdom Christian Center located at 420 38th St, Columbus, GA 31904, Bishop Barbara Shepard, pastor, officiating. Burial in St. Paul C.M.E. Church, Crawford, AL. Public viewing is 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Mrs. Jeannell Cooper Hood was born on August 18, 1948 to the late Dallas Cooper Sr, and the late Carrie Cooper Williams. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2:42pm God called her home. She was a member of Words of Wisdom Christian Center where she served faithfully until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Hood Sr.;her parents,Dallas Cooper Sr, and Carrier Cooper Williams; her son, Marion Hood Jr., her granddaughter, Ilyasha Hood;her brother, Curtis Cooper and her sisters, Margaret Cooper and Carrie P. Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, four daughters; Angela (Lee) King of Selma, California; Denice Hood of Phenix City, Alabama; Monica Hood of Newman, Georgia; Equisha (Nate) Frazier of Columbus, Georgia; daughter-in-law Babette Hood of Federal Way, Washington; eleven grandchildren Marquarius (Maricia) Long of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; Elisa Lockhart of Phenix City, Alabama; CorDarrion (Elizabeth) Cooper of Kennesaw, Georgia; Ikea (Tim) Norman of Fresno, California; Dejanae (Shane) Weickum of Winter Haven, Florida; Iyanna King of Fresno, California; Xavier (Dacheβ) Hood of Holiday, Florida; Syniah (Kendall) of Denver, Colorado, Harmonie Frazier and Jace Fraizer both of Columbus, Georgia; and a special grandson DeJohn Wright of Columbus, Georgia; fourteen great-grandchildren Imauni Norman, Jamari Long, Skyler Epps, Keyauni Norman, Kaleb Lockhart, Tayten Weickum, Brosnan Davis, Jordan Norman, CorDarrion Cooper Jr, Brynon Davis, Zuri Cooper, Iris Mister, Ilyanna Hood, Ziora Hood, Zyla Hood; one great-great-grandchild Elijah Norman; five sisters Georgia Daniels, Louise (Mitchell) Eiland, Shirley(Morris) Holmes all of Phenix City, Alabama, Vere(Willie) Cliatt, Wenora Baker of Columbus, Georgia; five brothers Dallas (Tinq) Cooper Jr, Terry (Honda) Cooper of Grand Prairie, Texas, Walter (Patricia) Cooper of San Antonio, Texas, Andrew Cooper of Columbus, Georgia; Milton (Kathy) Moffett of Phenix City, Alabama; a sister-in-law Laura Jean Williams of Smith Station, Alabama; two brother-in-laws Hilliard Hood III of Crawford, Alabama; Charlie Lewis of McKenzie, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
