Mr. James A. Morgan, 72, of Smiths Station, AL passed Monday, December 28, 2020 in Columbus, GA.
Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Crawford, AL with Rev. Jonah Williams, officiating. Visitation is Friday, January 1, 2020 from 2 - 5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Morgan was born August 8, 1948 in Crawford, AL to the late Mary Lee Hood Morgan and the late Rawleigh Morgan. He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church where served as Chairman of Finance and prior to working in the finance office he sang in the choir. He retired from Alabama Power Company after 40 dedicated years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Morgan; children, Teena Morgan and Jamie Morgan; step children, LaRenia Woodham and Errington Woodham; sisters, Michelle Perrin, Marilyn Robinson, Elvaline Mckenzie (Louis), Betty Johnson; brothers, Michael Robinson and Lemmie Robinson; grandchildren, Justice Morgan (Maurice), Trilaani Woodham, Quamir Fowler and Zaire Woodham; great grandchildren, Malia Morgan and Mya Facyson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Flat was his nickname when he lived with Me, Skeet,BigMama and my Mama. He wasjustlike a brother. Those are some great heartfelt memories that is sealed with love.RIP from the Family of the late Candy Grimes
