Geneva Guilford, 72, passed on June 15, 2024 in Columbus,GA.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. EST at St. Paul Greater Love Ministries, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Freddie Evans, pastor, eulogist. Interment to follow in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. Public Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. EST - 5:00 p.m. EST.
Geneva Guilford was born on May 13, 1952 in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Cassie Mae Flucker and J.T. Flucker. She departed this life on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Piedmont Hospital surrounded by her family.
Geneva gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Balkum Baptist Church in Browns Crossroads, Alabama. As an adult, she married the love of her Life, William Guilford, and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. After, relocating to Phenix City, Alabama in 2019, she joined St. Paul Greater Love Ministries.
Geneva was educated in the Henry County School System where she graduated from Northside High School in Headland, Alabama. She worked at several textile companies prior to retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cassie Mae and J.T. Flucker; three brothers, Quinn Neal, John Flucker, and James Flucker; five sisters, Martha Danze, Annie Brelove, Luverne Brooks, Annette Flucker, and Belinda Flucker.
She leaves to cherish memories two children, William (Cassandra) Guilford, Jr. and Kimberly Gullford; a goddaughter, April Whigam; four sisters, Brenda Anthony, Juanita Brown, Dorothy Neal, and Verdell Flucker; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews,along with family and friends.
