Obituary For Fannie L. Clark

Ms.Fannie L. Clark, 93, of Five Points, AL passed Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am EST on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel at Taylor Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Public viewing is from 1-5 pm EST on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Ms. Fannie Lee Clark was born August 23, 1930, in Five Points, Alabama to the late Ocie Lee and Fannie Mae Reese Clark. She made the transition into eternal life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Orchard View Skilled Nursing Center in Columbus, Georgia.

She attended Phillips High School in Five Points, Alabama.

The word of God was planted in her heart at an early age, and she accepted Christ at St. Paul Methodist Church in Five Points, Alabama. In her later years, she united with Pine Grove Methodist Church in White Plains, Alabama. She served faithfully until she moved to Phenix City, Alabama in 1966, where she joined Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church and continued her faithful service until her health declined. She participated and served in various capacities, which included Sunday School, Bible Study,a member of the Local Women's Missionary Society, Choir, and Auxiliary Board. She also served as president of the Usher Board for over 30 years.

She was a dedicated employee at Dolly Madison Bakery for over 20 years, until her retirement in 1995.

She was a former member of the Coalescent Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Annie Clark Prewitt, and her brothers, Ocie Will Clark, Eddie Clark, and Eddie George Clark.

Precious memories will be forever cherished by her devoted daughter and tireless caretaker, Julia White of Columbus, Georgia; a loving granddaughter, Attorney Tamara Royal Pharrams (Rev. Dr. Lorenza Pharrams) of Deatsville, Alabama; two loving great-granddaughters, Lorren Christian Pharrams and Julienne Dorissa Pharrams of Deatsville, Alabama; a devoted niece, Presiding Elder Miranda Rivers of Phenix City, Alabama; two devoted cousins, Hazel Woods and Minnie Ruth Holloway of Lafayette, Alabama; one son-in-law, Willie Prewitt of Phenix City, Alabama; a special church friend, Gene Woods of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
