Ernest R. Williams, 85, passed Monday, June 10, 2024 in Marrieta, GA.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Holy Trinity, AL with Father David Hamm, officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter Claver Cemetery. Public visitation is from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, June 17, 2024.
Ernest Richmond Williams Sr. was born September 19, 1938, to the late Pauline and James (Jim) Williams. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Landa Michelle Brooks, his son, Jimmie Franklin, and his siblings, James Williams, Jr., Bertha Mae Williams, Joesph Miles, Robert Lee Williams, and Charles Williams, Jr.
He was baptized as a Catholic shortly after his birth and remained committed to his faith throughout his life.
He is survived by one sibling, Deloris Williams; his wife, Lucille Virginia Williams; three children, Anthony J. Williams, Sr. (Mary), Ernest Williams, Jr., and Lisa Lavarion; three bonus children, Rodger Jefferson (Gwen), Anthony Jefferson (Debra), and Patriece Jefferson; 21 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, cousins and friends.
