Obituary For Earnestine Samuel Scott

Sis. Earnestine Samuel Scott, 59, passed Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Andrew Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 69 Battle Rd, Hurtsboro, AL with Rev. Renee Adams, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2-7 p.m. EST.

Sis. Scott was born January 28, 1960 in Hurtsboro, AL to Ruthel Samuel and the late Arthur Lee Samuel, Sr. She was a member of Andrew Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church and worked at Dillard’s as a seamstress.

Survivors include her mother, Ruthel Samuel; two daughters, Shalannda Brown (Sylvester Williams) and Lakerri Brown; four sisters, Dorothy Crowell (Glenn), Brenda Horton, Valarie Fluellen (Mazell), and Sandra Davis (Barrett); one brother Arthur Lee Samuel (Fannie); seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

I worked with Ms Earnestine at Belk for years and she was the one that told me I was pregnant before I even knew it. She was a great person awesome co-worker and had a smile that lit up the earth! Praying God's peace comfort and understanding for all of her family and friends! Precious

My heart is sadden by my friend's death, but those of us that believe and die in Christ will never die!!! Praise to the name of Jesus. It was always the five of us, Annie, Bessie, Earnestine, Themla and Rosie "The circle". The circle is broken now and our hearts are heavy from the loss but we will always remember the beautiful memories we shared as friends. My love and prayers goes out to the family. There was nothing but love and pride in her heart when she would talk to me about her family. You will truly be missed my friend. Love you forever, Rosie and the circle.
