Devon J. James, 17, of Fort Mitchell, AL passed on Monday, December 11, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Antioch Baptist Church in Fort Mitchell, AL, with Rev. Fredrick Small, pastor, officiating. Burial to take place in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be from 3-5 p.m. EST, Friday, December 15, 2023.
Devon J. James passed away at the age of 17 years old. He was a kind and a beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.
Devon enjoyed auto mechanics, weightlifting, working with his friends, playing video games on Playstation 5. He was an Honor Roll Student while in the 11th grade. Devon dreamed of joining the military to serve his country.
He is survived by his parents, Cynthia Patrick and Kenneth James (Conda Sturrup Parker), as well as his twin brother, Javon James, and brothers, Jalarion Green and Kenneth James Jr.; his grandmother, Mary Ford; niece, Tyasia Stafford-Green. Devon is also survived by his uncles and aunts Vinson Thomas (Erica), Robert Patrick, Steve Ford, Doris Ford, and Tracey Ford and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friend.
