Darryl A. James, 38, passed Monday, April 15, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, April 27, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the West End Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Public viewing is Friday, April 26, 2024 from 2 - 5 p.m. EST.
Mr. Darryl A. James, born June 9, 1985, in Muscogee County, Georgia to Marie A. James and James (Angela) Johnson, transitioned Monday, April 15, 2024.
Darryl was preceded in death by his father, James Johnson; brother, Jermaine A. James; maternal grandmother, Essie L. James; maternal grandfather, Willie G. James and great/great aunt, Jessie M. Watkins.
Cherished memories will be carried in the hearts of his mother, Marie A. James; two daughters, Kaniyah Cochran of Ft. Mitchell, AL and Daniya James; a stepdaughter, Maquala Johnson; a caring maternal great-grandmother, Mattie M. Laney; devoted aunt, Dorothy Fulton, both of Columbus, GA; his brothers, Tarrence James and Kutunnah (Sara) Mitchell, both of Columbus, GA; sisters, Kimberly (Derrick) Cooper and Ramona Gunn, both of Columbus, GA; three uncles, Reginald James of Columbus, GA, Kelvin (Brenda) James and Michael James; aunts, Edna Gordon of Phenix City, AL and Rosie Marshall of Cincinnati, OH; six devoted cousins, Lasandra McKenzie, Pamela R. Fulton, both of Columbus, GA, Michael Woods of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Warren Pickard of Milton, FL, Edward Fulton, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and Charles Fulton of Tampa, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Darryl attended Jordan High School. He loved music and gaming. He always wanted his family and friends to be happy and enjoy life. He always had a smile, in spite of life's trials and tribulations.
You are truly truly missed . What an amazing person you were....
