Ms. Christine Plezes, 76 of Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Raymond Cochran, officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery Columbus, GA. Visitation is Friday, October 8, 2021 from 12-5 p.m. EST.
Ms. Plezes was born may 6, 1945 in Russell County, AL to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plezes, Sr. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Patsy Plezes, Frank Plezes, Jr., Dorothy Grier, Ronnie Plezes and Ray Plezes.
She was a 1963 graduate of South Girard High School. She treasured the times she fellowshipped with her class. She was always packed and ready to go on their trips together. She was a member of the Midweek Social Club. She was a nurse assistant at Muscogee Manor for 36 years until her retirement.
She waas a faithful servant at Franchise Missionary Baptist Church. She served dutifully, with a smile, on the Usher Ministry and Bereavement Ministry. She was always willing to help in any way she could until her health decllined.
Christine was called from her labor to reward peacefully on September 30, 2021. You've done your work here. Take your rest with sweet Jesus.
She leaves cherished memories with her loving and devoted sons, Vincent (Janet) Plezes of Stuttgart, Germany and Calvin Plezes-Miles of Phenix City, AL; a loving cousin, Helen (Elzie) Collins, Phenix City, AL; sister-n-law, Shirley Plezes of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren, Ticarius, Breshay, Chantal and Jeremy; lifelong friend, Peggy Gamble; Rusty, her watchdog and several endearing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
