I went from elementary school to high school and graduation with Vera. I remember her beautiful smile and joyful spirit. She always made me laugh by something funny she would say or do. Thank you for making and giving me those wonderful childhood memories. Your Friend Vickie Williams C/O 1985
My prayers and condolences to the entire family. I met Vera when I was six years old. The times Vera and I spent together were incredibly adventurous. I can write a book about our childhood memories growing up together. We were always at each other house's until pitch black dark, walked each other halfway home through the trails we made. We would YELL OUT, I MADE IT before going inside. Each day was a different adventure but the night would end the same way. We out grew the trails and went out through different pathways in life. Vera You Made It. I will Love you always. β€οΈ Charlotte Gordon
Honestly, growing up with my cousins living within walking distance, it was never a dull moment. We would always have something to laugh, talk, or joke about. Lord knows I loved those days walking back-and-forth to each other's houses. I would go to Lee and Katie's house to get my momma's favorite rainbow coconut candy. Katie always gave me cashews to bring back home to my momma. I stayed hours after I got the candy and cashews, sitting around talking and having a great time. Herc, Gladys, and Alvera were always fun to be around. Alvera always had something funny to say, oh my goodness!! She got it honestly from her daddy. I'll remember the conversations, her infectious laughter, and that grin on her face. Alvera is truly loved and she'll be deeply missed. My beautiful cousin. A beautiful soul............ ποΈ

Oh how my heart over flows just to hear that my God has called you home so soon. Cuz we have had so many childhood memories. We laughed, cried when we didn't get our way, eat over other houses, have sleep over, fight each other and makeup with a mad hug. Oh I can't count how many butt Weapons and spanking we got by doing crazy things. We walk to each other homes eating bake sweet potatoes from my house and rainbow candy from your house. Gladys used to tell Alvera, you and Lois get one bar of candy and Vera would say okay and Whisper in my ear, one bar each cuz. Our pockets would be full of candy bars. Gladys would say to Vera, I told you two,to get one bar of candy. Alvera said we did get one bar of candy Gladys. We got one coconut bar, one peanut butter log bar, one peanut britter bar and that's one bar of each. Alvera would Whisper to me and say cuz now she's thinking we can't count to five. Alvera yell out to Gladys as we leave out the back door. Hey we got bags of popcorn to now , tell Lee and Katie ill be over Aunt Cora houe come and get me. She would be laughing and grening with a great big smile from ear to ear. R.I.P my favorite cousin. Love you and never forgotten. Deloria J.Wilson-Ellis MS,ALC,LPC,AL Notary.
