Obituary For Ahmad Terrell Brooks

Mr. Ahmad Terrell Brooks, 20, of Fortson, GA passed Monday, January 23, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Phenix City (2608 Summerville Rd, Phenix City, AL 36867) Rev. Fred L. Copeland, pastor and Rev. Willie Lyles, officiating. Burial to follow in Alexander~Abercrombie Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, January 27, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Ahmad was born on December 4, 2002, in Columbus Georgia. At an early age, he excelled in sports where he enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. His love for sports continued into high school where he was a member of the Harris County High School varsity football and basketball team. In addition to sports, Ahmad loved playing video games and spending time with his family.

Following high school, he exemplied his passion for sports and joined a competitive men’s softball team competing throughout the entire southeast. Ahmad was employed at Continental Carbon Company in Phenix City, AL.

Ahmad is survived by his loving father, Timmy T. Brooks (Penelope Valero); mother, Darvonia T. Alston; sisters, Jada T. Crawford, Tiera E. Brooks, Kiana L. Cooper; brothers, Timmy T. Brooks, Justin G. Brooks, Cameron J. Brooks, Anthony D. Walton (Hannah Walton); grandparents, Linda S. Whitehurst, Dora H. Richardson, Anthony Valero (Rebecca), Donald T. Dunbar; nieces, Layla M. Cooper, Ava K. Cooper-Graham; nephews, James D. Copeland, Rhett Walton, Reid Walton and a host of aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
