Hannah Lovett Thomas
Tallahassee - Hannah Lovett Thomas, 92, was born November 10, 1928 to the union of the late Frank and Fannie Lovett. Hannah gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, December 26, 2020 and will be truly missed.
Hannah, "Mother, Muh" as she was affectionately known, retired from Florida State University after over 35 years of service. She was converted at an early age and joined Testerina P.B. Church. She later joined St. Matthew Church. To be closer to her children she joined Tabernacle M.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Stanley L. Walker, Sr.
Hannah Lovett Thomas leaves to cherish her love and memories of life one son, Leroy Collins; eight daughters, Fannie Collins Bellamy (Michael), Geraldine Collins, Deborah Thomas Brown (Aaron), Malinda Harris (Ricky), Cassandra (Jackie) Thomas-Walker (Caregiver), Betty Branch, Sherry Thomas and Connie Nelson; son-in-law, Wylie Randolph; sister, Mamie Jackson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lovett of Jacksonville, FL; 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas; two sons, Willie Collins and Eugene Thomas; one daughter, Ale Brenda Randolph; three brothers, Richard, Willie and Andrew Lovett; one sister, Leola Brookins.
Viewing will be from 10 AM to 5 PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services are private.
