Kejuan Derrell Stinson was born July 4, 1992 in Fort Pierce, Florida to Darrell D. Stinson and Cheryl D. Burse-Smith. He attended local schools in St. Lucie County as well as Osceola County, where he graduated from Liberty High School with High Honors. He received his Associate Degree from Valencia Community College and further studies at the University of Central Florida before enlisting into the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Tech. He was one who strived to learn all he could and pushed toward perfection in everything he tried to accomplish, giving 100%. Through his ongoing studies with the Navy, he was promoted to ETV1 (Electrics Technician Navigation Petty Officer First Class). He had currently passed tests and was waiting on Board approval, to be considered as an E7 - Chief Officer. Kejuan was devoted to his job and wanted to make his career with the U.S. Navy. He was very proud of his work and service he gave to his country. He was an avid bowler, loved to read, cook, eat good food, and loved his family dearly.
On April 2, 2023, Kejuan departed this life and leaves to mourn his loving mother: Cheryl D. Burse-Smith and father: Darrell D. Stinson, stepfather: Robert L. Smith; grandmothers: Doris (Lazatha) Murphy, Barbara A. (Danny) Burse-Felton; grandfather: James W. (Emma) Allen, sisters: Vanessa Douglas, Shauntai Stinson, and Chassidy D. Stinson; stepbrother: Savion Smith; uncles: James Stinson, Jr., Rickie Stinson, Marcus Stinson, Johnny Allen, Carl Henderson, Danny Felton, Jr., Courtney Felton, and Rishawn Felton; aunts: Tamika Smith, Lacrisha Lomax, Larrissa Thomas, Calandra Riggins, Melissa Allen, Sarah Allen, Lashanda McVay, Christina Stinson-McKenzie, Regina Williams, Laurie Smith and Lakesha Felton; cousins: Ashley Grimes, Brittney Palmer, Dominique Gray, Charles Gray, Chelsey Crenshaw, Jamil Gray, Imani Gray, Patrick Riggins Jr, Ikera Riggins, Luke Pelt, Joshua Pelt, Zipporah Pelt, Deborah Pelt, Tyrek Gardner, Tristen Gardner and a host of friends and great Aunts and Uncles and other family members that will miss him sorely.
Public visitation for Kejuan Derrell Stinson will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral Services will convene on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Miracle Prayer Temple Worship Center in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
