Obituary For Mother Theresa Hankins

Mother Theresa Hankins was born on January 10, 1924 and was called home to Glory on May 31, 2023. She lived a beautiful and memorable life. She loved going to church, serving God, shopping, and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her five wonderful children: Theresa Hankins, Margie Hankins, Diane McCoy, Alex “Hank” Hankins, Leon Hankins, and her dear and loving best friend: Willie May Howard.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving grandchildren: Tyrone Hankins (Takelia), Terrell Thomas (Tacara), Talia Hankins, Tyra Hankins, Ty’Leria Thomas, Freddie Scott; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.

Public visitation for Mother Theresa Hankins will take place on Friday, June 10, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at First Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL and then on Saturday, June 11, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am at Saint John's Missionary Baptist Church in Seville, FL which will be followed by her funeral service beginning promptly at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint John's Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
