Obituary For Mary Ann West

Mary Ann West was born April 7, 1945 in Ft. Pierce, FL to Weldon Johnson Sr., and the late Addie Pearl Johnson.

Mary Ann attended St. Mary’s School for Deaf in Buffalo, NY before returning to Ft. Pierce, FL. She met and married John W. West Sr. in 1972. She retired as an agricultural laborer to become a full-time caregiver to her growing family. After raising her children, she provided care to her grandchildren and great grandchild since family brought her the greatest joy.

On Monday, July 27,2020, the Lord summoned Mary Ann to a land where pain and suffering shall be no more. She was preceded in death by mother Addie Pearl Johnson, and brothers Bobby Jean Johnson Sr and JT Johnson.

The memories of Mary Ann West will be forever engraved in the hearts and minds of her husband, her daughters, Rose Mary West of Fort Pierce, FL, Angela R. West of Zephyrhills, FL, Lisa Marie Hurley (John) of Jacksonville, FL, and her son John W. West Jr (Temisha) of Vero Beach, FL. Also left to cherish her memories are her beloved grandchildren Shaniqua T. Burks of Orlando, FL , Shenecia West of Zephyrhills, FL, John W. West,III, Jaylyn West, and Jayson West of Vero Beach FL and her first great grandson Jeremiah Fair. She also leaves behind sisters Betty Duncan, Annie (Wiliam) Moore, Willa (Wilford Solomon) and brothers WD (Janet) Johnson, Weldon Johnson Jr., Andrew Johnson, Matthew (Doris)Johnson all of Ft. Pierce, FL and Joel Johnson.

Public visitation for Mary Ann West will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Pierce, FL between the hours of 3:00pm and 4:00pm. Funeral services will begin promptly at 4:00pm also at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff.
