Obituary For Hattie Mae Perry

Hattie McKinney Perry was born on September 17,1952 in Twin City, Georgia to the late Lula Mae Gaines and the late Arthur Cross.

Hattie received her education from Emanuel County Institute (ECI) in Twin City, Georgia.

Hattie had been employed by the Indian River County School System for over 14 years until her retirement.

Hattie was a sweet, loving, kind, and private woman, that loved to cook, and she was a great cook!

She was preceded in death by her mother Lula Mae Gaines and father, Arthur Cross; her husband of 34 years, Pam Perry, Jr. and Ackines (Ack) Steele who raised her.

Left to cherish her memories: Sons, Rondell Jones and Maurice Perry, all of Vero Beach, FL. Stepchildren: Glen Perry, Cynthia Gavin Fuller, Rome Jackson, Pamizki “DJ Head” Perry, all of Vero Beach, Fl, and Kevin Gavin of Jacksonville, FL. Brothers: Ike (Mattie) McKinney, Robert Joyce) Cross and Jimmie (Verlene) Cross. Sister: Hattie Bell (Oscar) Carlyle all of Twin City, Georgia. Aunt: Arthur Bell Roundtree of Twin City, Georgia. 18 step siblings, all of Twin City, Georgia. Brother-in-laws: Scott (Helen) Perry, Gene Perry, Roney (Diane) Perry, Percy (Jonnie Mae) Perry all of Gifford, FL and Jerome (Cassandra) Perry of Jacksonville, FL. Sister-in-laws: Atlento Warner, of Orlando, FL and Vivian Stinson of Vero Beach, FL. Grandchildren: Jayden Cantave, Dy’mond Franklin, Maurice Perry, Jr, Michael Perry and Linwood Davis, Jr. A host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly!

Graveside services to celebrate her life will convene on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Gifford Cemetery in Gifford, FL beginning at 11:00am.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID-19 have been relaxed, we at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 feet social distancing guidelines as well.
