Charles Witherspoon

To the Witherspoon family. My name is Lorene vining, of Homeless Helping Homeless. I met Charles in 2010. He was the secretary of this group. Later on, he became president. (This group is no longer in existence). I kind of adopted charles as my son. The group did so many things together. We had a car wash, silent voices, which we did every november , cleaned blanding street every 3 month down town columbia. We kept in touch. I talked to charles in june. when I did not hear from him, I assumed he was okay. We, HHH loved charles. He will be missed. My daughter will miss him also. she would always ask how is my brother. I will tell everyone that charles is gone. He loved to sing. I pray for god strength for each one of you.

I was saddened when I heard of the passing of my LHS 1982 classmate Charles. I shall forever have fond memories especially the daily laughs and fun we shared in Mrs. Hinson's Algebra class. Not only would Charles keep us laughing he was one of the smartest persons in the class who I would ask for help. Thanks for the memories my brother/classmate and Rest In Heavenly Peace!

Words cannot express the pain and hurt that I feel over losing you without saying goodbye. Although a part of my heart is now empty, I am grateful for the memories of you that will be there forever. I will always remember your warm chuckle on our Saturday morning phone calls, the fun of being March birthday buddies, and the everyday joys of our childhood with our parents and siblings. You were both my brother and my friend. "I thank my God every time I remember you." (Philippians 1:3)

In the midst of this sorrow, I rejoice knowing that you are at peace and resting easily in the arms of our Heavenly Father. My faith is sustained knowing that you are with Mom, awaiting us all. Watch over our family with her, and know that our love for you is boundless, and will not be diminished over time.
