Vivian Denise Sharpe was born on September 10, 1956, to the late Phillip “P.G.” Sharpe and the late Inez Sharpe in Adel, Georgia.
She is a proud member of the Cook High class of 1974 and continued her education in early childcare until her passing.
Vivian was director and co-owner of Teachable Moments Learning Center in Adel, Georgia. On November 21, 2016, she became the first female council member in Adel, where she served until December 2021. She continued serving her community, remaining on the Jim Battle Committee, the Ageing Advisory Council, and the Club Economy 18 until her passing.
She departed this life on Monday April, 29, 2024.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Phillip (Memmorie) of Atlanta, GA, Christopher (Ashley) of Albany, GA, and Robynn (Malcolm) of Washington, DC; sister, Sandra; five grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Inez Sharpe; sister, Johnnie Pearl Gay; brother, Jerome “P.G” Sharpe; and her brother-in-law, Clarence O’Neal.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Holy Community Church, 505 West 7th Street, Adel, GA, 31620, from 3PM-5PM.
A celebration of life will be Monday, May 6, 2024 at Holy Community Church at 11AM with Pastor Horne, officiating.
