Obituary
Ms. Sonya Patricia Orr was born on November 4, 1960, in Adel, GA to the late John Brown and Georgia Arlene Orr. She departed this life at Tift Regional Medical Center on Friday June 25, 2021.
At an early age, Sonya received Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend S. D. Duncan at County Line Church in Cecil, GA. She served many years as a choir member until her health failed. She started her education in the Cook County School System in Adel, GA and she later continued her education at Flint Northwestern in Flint, MI.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters; Erma Jean Brown, Johnnie Mae Gillespie, Faye Orr and one brother, James Kermit Orr.
She leaves her love and cherished memories to her two daughters; Kortni Orr and Briana (Quentin) Stafford of Adel, GA; brothers, Ellis Orr of Cecil, GA, Jimmy Orr of Tampa, FL, and John (Shelia) Orr of Cecil, GA; sisters, Carolyn Garrison of Flint, MI and Brenda Miller of Adel, GA; three grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Kade Orr, Cameron and Chloe Stafford; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10AM at County Line Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 5PM-7PM. Continue to keep the Orr Family in your daily thoughts and prayers.
